It is a great day to discover the history and culture of Istanbul, welcome to our Daily City Tour.
We pick you up from your hotel in the morning then start our tour in Sultanahmet, the heart of old Istanbul, where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires ruled.
Hagia Sophia is one the greatest masterpieces of Byzantine architecture, built as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. Converted into a mosque in 1453 by Conqueror Mehmet, it is now one of the world's greatest museums. Its massive dome still dominates the skyline of old Istanbul.
Blue Mosque is one of the most prominent landmarks of the city. It takes its name from the exquisite Iznik tiles that decorate the interior, and it is the only imperial mosque with six minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet.
Hippodrome was the centre of sporting and social events during the Byzantine Empire. The Serpentine Column, The Obelisk of Theodosius and The German Fountain are notable monuments decorating the arena.
Grand Bazaar is the oldest and largest shopping centre in Turkey, situated in the centre of the old city. It has 4,000 shops full of treasures, including carpets, leather, icons, ceramics and jewellery.
Topkapı Palace was the principal residence of the Ottoman Sultans exhibiting imperial treasury, sacred Islamic relics of Prophet Mohammed, houses a fabulous collection of crystal, silver, Chinese porcelain, jewels and costumes. The armoury and royal Harem are particularly worth seeing.(Harem is not included in the tour).
Rustem Pasa Mosque designed by architect Sinan for the Grand Vezier of Suleyman The Magnificent. A typical sample of Islamic architecture amidst the rows of shops near the Spice Market, famed with its exquisite and colorful tiles set in floral and geometric designs.

Tuesdays: Topkapı Palace closed , replaced with Turkish and Islamic art museum
Sundays: Grand Bazaar closed.
