6 Days Istanbul-Gallipoli-Troy Tour
Istanbul historic peninsula tour, Dolmabahce tour and Bosphorus cruise. Cannakale see the Ottoman minelayer Nusret and Cimenli fortress, Gallipoi and Troy
Day 1- Istanbul
After arrival Istanbul Airport, we will pick you up from airport and transfer to hotel, free time and overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2- Istanbul –Walking City Tour ( B / L )
After breakfast we will pick you up from hotel and start a full day guided tour of old city in historical peninsula beginning with great museum Hagia Sophia, one of the greatest marvels of Byzantine architecture, constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian.
Blue Mosque, facing Hagia Sophia, famous for its magnificent blue Iznik tiles and six unique minaretes, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet.
Hippodrome, center of sportive (chariot races, athletics) events and political activities of the old city. Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpentine Column, German Fountain of Wilhelm II are the monuments decorating Hippodrome.
Topkapı Palace, residence of Ottoman Sultans exhibiting imperial treasury, sacred Islamic relics of Prophet Mohammed, kitchen, Chinese porcelain, weapons, calligraphy section etc. Imagine yourself as a ruler of 15th century. (Harem is not included in the program)
Rustem Pasha Mosque, designed by the court architect Sinan for the Grand Vizier of Suleyman The Magnificent. A typical example of Islamic architecture amidst the rows of shops near the Spice Bazaar, famed for its exquisite and colorful tiles set in floral and geometric designs.
Grand Covered Bazaar, most attractive shopping and trade center of Istanbul and biggest "souk" in the world with nearly 4000 shops selling antiques, jewellery, gold, carpets, leatherware and souvenirs.
End of the tour transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul
Day 3- Gallipoli Tour ( L )
Pick up at 06:30 - 07:00am from your hotel in Istanbul and depart for an afternoon tour of Gallipoli. The World War 1 battle fields of Gallipoli are now a serene site. Visit the Lone Pine - Australian Memorial, Chunuk Bair- New Zealand Memorial, ANZAC Cove, Johnston's Jolly, Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, Ariburnu Cemetery, 57 th Regiment-Turkish Memorial, The Nek and the Gallipoli Museum. End of the tour, you will take a ferry to Canakkale and overnight in the hotel.
Day 4-Troy Tour ( B / L )
After breakfast at your hotel and free time on your own to visit the Ottoman minelayer, Nusret and Cimenlik Fortress in the morning. After lunch, we visit the ancient city of Troy, famous for the legendary Trojan horse from the times of Beautiful Helen, Queen of Sparta and Paris, the Trojan Prince. Late evening return to Istanbul and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 5- Istanbul–Bosphorus & Dolmabahce Palace Tour (B/L)
Breakfast at your hotel then we pick you up from your hotel and begin with a brief visit to City Walls which are surrounding the whole part of the old city since 5 th Century.
Dolmabahce Palace, recent residence for Ottoman Sultans built in European Architectural style by two Ottoman architects Karabet and Nikogos Balyan on a 110.000 m² area and served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire, built by marble. Famous for its great collection of European antiquity, furniture and 4.5 tons chandelier, the palace has 285 rooms and 46 halls.
Golden Horn, the arm of the Bosphorus and a natural harbour of the historical peninsula separating the old and the new parts of Istanbul where the first colonies settled during the Byzantines.
Spice Bazaar, mystical smells of different aromas of various spices. Shops selling fruits, vegetables, fish, flowers, souveniers etc. It is known as Egyptian Bazaar too.
Bosphorus Cruise, through the waterway separating the two continents, Europe and Asia, with a possibility to take photographs of marble palaces, small fishing villages, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residentials and luxurious apartments. During the excursion you will pass the magnificent Dolmabahce Palace, imperial pavillions of Yildiz Palace, Ciragan Palace, and Ortakoy which is a symbol of tolerance with a church, a mosque and a synagogue existing side by side for centuries.
Piere Lothi Hill, panoramic view of Istanbul and Golden Horn,You may rest and have a cup of coffee in one of these cafeterias in here. Famous French poet Piere Lothi used to visit the hill very often so takes its name from him.
At the end of the tour we take you back to your hotel and Overnight in Istanbul.
Closed:Dolmabahce Palace on Monday and Thursday replaced with Chora Museum.
Spice Bazaar on Sunday replaced with Golden Horn.
Day 6- Istanbul ( B )
After breakfast, our tour concludes and we say good bye to our new friends and according to your international flight we transfer you to airport and wish you a pleasant flight.
